Tall, dark, and seriously hot.
The Ovalo chiminea-style outdoor fireplace brings the flames, the flair, and a whole lot of outdoor envy. Crafted from heavy-duty 2mm Corten steel, it’s built to handle the heat—and look damn good doing it—gradually developing a rich, rustic patina that deepens with time and character.
With its tall, tapered silhouette and clever flue design, the Ovalo channels smoke upward and away from your seating area, keeping things clear and comfortable. The open-front firebox makes loading logs a breeze and keeps the flames dancing well into the evening.
Generously sized to hold logs, charcoal, firewood, or other solid fuels, the Ovalo delivers a bright, steady burn that keeps the warmth (and the vibe) going strong.

SAFETY
Metal surfaces become extremely hot during use and can cause serious burns if touched. Burning temperatures can be very high—always supervise children and pets around the fireplace.
In New Zealand, outdoor fireplaces must be situated at least 1 metre away from any building or legal boundary. However, to light the fire, a permit may require a minimum distance of 3 metres from structures, hedges, or other combustible materials. Check local council guidelines to ensure compliance with placement, safety, and fire restrictions in your area.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE:
Corten or powder coated steel fire pits will naturally develop surface rust over time—this is not a defect but a natural process.
When you first receive your Corten steel item (aka weathered steel), it may be a bright orange or sometimes a darker brown (depending on how much it’s weathered on its journey to you).
As it’s exposed to the elements, especially rain and dry spells, it naturally starts to rust. This forms a protective layer called a patina, which changes colour over time, from orange to deep brown, and eventually a rich, almost-black tone. Patina is a type of rust (but not a damaging kind). Unlike regular rust, this patina seals the surface and actually prevents further corrosion, which is why Corten is often used for outdoor structures and sculptures.
