Sick of boring fences, blank walls and “live, laugh, love” signs? Upgrade your outdoor aesthetic with Iconic Corten Garden Art, a range of laser-cut legends that bring a touch of rugged elegance and pure New Zealand pride to any space.
About Corten:
When you first receive your Corten steel item (aka weathered steel), it may be a bright orange or sometimes a darker brown (depending on how much it’s weathered on its journey to you).
As it’s exposed to the elements, especially rain and dry spells, it naturally starts to rust. This forms a protective layer called a patina, which changes colour over time, from orange to deep brown, and eventually a rich, almost-black tone. Patina is a type of rust (but not a damaging kind). Unlike regular rust, this patina seals the surface and actually prevents further corrosion, which is why Corten is often used for outdoor structures and sculptures.
Each piece in our Corten range offers a unique aesthetic, adding character and depth to your outdoor spaces.
Crafted from 2mm Corten steel, these artworks are made to weather – literally. Over time, they develop a rich, earthy patina that screams "premium" while quietly whispering, "I don’t need maintenance." Perfect for garden walls, fences, patios, or the ultimate man cave feature wall.
