There is much speculation about the identity of Louis Marmont. Some say Louis Marmont was one of Napoleon Bonaparte's most trusted lieutenants, others suggest he was a renowned glass-blower, much sought-after for his superior champagne bottles. But we like to believe he was a bon vivant and legendary raconteur born in a small village near Epernay in the 1800s, whose secret for making superb champagne was to sing to the liquor as it fermented. Whatever the truth, there's no denying that this Louis Marmont is a cut above and bound to impress. Rated 94/100 and 5 stars by Sam Kim of Wine Orbit, Louis Marmont will be a stylish, effervescent crowd-pleaser at your next celebration.

Here are his tasting notes:
It is immediately appealing on the nose showing golden apple, apricot, lemon peel and brioche characters, followed by a superbly concentrated palate that is richly textured and impressively complex. An opulent style champagne offering terrific drinking.
