Due to the rustic-chic nature of corten, colours maybe differ and darken overtime.
Black powder-coated models require more maintenance than Corten and can be more sensitive to scratches and damage. Once the surface scratches you just need to touch it up to bring it back to life. This is only suitable for small fires anything over 500 degrees will cause the heat paint to peel/discolour. To treat this, just polish it with fine sandpaper, and spray with black high-temperature paint which is normally available in DIY shops. Do not use any kind of accelerants with this fireplace!
