Our cray-cray-crazily indulgent deal is back, pairing export-quality New Zealand crayfish with some fine French champagne!
2 x crayfish - 450g-500g each
1 x 750ml bottle of Charles Du Roy - a beautiful dry champagne from Epernay, France.
These crays are not previously-frozen, they have been freshly caught. They're almost entirely deceased* (but they're just alive enough to keep them fresh enough to eat) and they're delivered to your door, with the champagne, in an insulated box packed with ice.
This is incredible value - just $99, plus a flat courier charge of $15 anywhere in the North Island. (South Islanders, please see the other deal that's especially for you.)
Your delivery will be dispatched in a chilly-box the day after the end of the deal, to arrive the day after that via overnight courier. (If your credit card payment fails initially for whatever reason, your shipment will be delayed, so please take that into account.)
Rural deliveries: these may not be delivered until 48 hours after dispatch. And you may get a phone call advising you that your order is ready to collect from your local depot. So please answer your phone - even if it's a call from a number you don't recognise, as horrific as this may usually be!
NB Because there is alcohol in this shipment, we can't leave it on your doorstep - someone aged 18+ will have to be home to sign for it, so please plan accordingly. If you're not going to be around, maybe send it to your workplace or to a very trustworthy friend with spare fridge space!
*If the crayfish are still exhibiting some residual movement, just put them in the freezer or a sink full of tap-water for 30 mins. (Pro tip: you can cover the sink with a bread board if you wish.) These are the most humane ways to send your crayfish off to permanent sleep.
